Archimedes was a scientist, mathematician, astronomer, engineer and inventor who lived 287-212 BC. A famous quote of his is “Give me a place to stand, and a long enough lever, and I will move the world”. He proved the theorems to determine the area of a circle, the volume of a sphere, proved the law of the lever, approximation of pi, enunciated the law of buoyancy or Archimedes principle, and many other theories.
