"Ghost Palms - City of Refuge", textile, 19"x41" Incorporates snow dyed fabrics I made using snow from Hawaii's Mauna Kea Mountain. This art piece was created to celebrate Hawaii and its diversity including oceanside palms, cultural legends, and high elevation mountain snowtops. The final version of the textile reveals a setting sun with an outline of the Big Island in embroidery and beads.
